Fabrics

A hastily gathered photo gallery of many of the available fabrics.

Some of these are in extremely short supply! Masks are made in the order in which they were received; if your selected fabric is out of stock when I reach your order, I’ll let you know and we’ll figure something else out.

Please note that due to white balance/color temperature/the vagaries of monitors’ color values/other factors, the actual shades in the fabric may be different from what appears on your screen. If you’d like a closer-up photo or a better description of a fabric, please let me know.

You are welcome to purchase a half-yard of your own fabric and get it to me if you have your heart set on something particular.

Cottons

These are cottons of various weights and textures. Not guaranteed to be 100% cotton, because I bought some of these fabrics 10 years ago and have no idea what they are. Some are really high-quality Moda, some are Goodwill rescues.

Please put the number of the fabric(s) you want into the description on the order form. If you’re unsure and want a better photo, let me know.

The softest non-flannel fabric I have for a liner is the plain white cotton, 000.

Flannels

These are the limited flannels I have available. Flannel will be softer and more comfortable against your face; however, it also retains more moisture from your breath, and may be slightly harder to breathe through due to the denser fabric. It will also be warmer, of course, and the denser fabric may offer some additional protection, but this is not proven or guaranteed.

Please put the number into the order form.
